Onion Breath

Let me be the first to wholeheartedly admit that there was no humanly way I was going to read such political detail when I boast the first four seasons of The West Wing in my living room cabinet. But I must concur that I will support our "future Chinese overlords" so long as they refrain from naming legislation after acronyms. Example, as found in the political trivia section:

The USA Patriot Act, which stands for "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001." Now, I'd like for someone to answer me this: what were the conservatives and liberals of America pondering when they created the Volstead Act? How many patriotic ditties can we roll out beginning with a V? Let this serve as a challenge to all those interested.

I also think it is cheating, not having to use words with the letters ACT, but we'll let that storm subside for now.

Do you do anything other than research random things to post Onion Breath?

Onion Breath

No, that really is the extent of my usefulness. But I thank you for noticing.

Critias

no problem

Late Night Loner

How many of you ever been alone, completely?
No, I don't mean just in a certain place
by yourself,
but I mean just feeling like no one really gives a d*mn.
Life really sucks. I am so alone, but no one seems to notice.
Do they even care at all?
I'm not the person I've worked, prayed, and earned the right to become.
So many others share in the happines they barely have to lift a finger to get
while I languish with jealousy and lonliness.
I'm so sick of my arms being empty.
Why does no one see me as anything other than their entertainment?
I've got a heart, too, ya know!!!

Critias

sounds depressing
